This Disclaimer explains important limitations of StabilityTest ("StabilityTest," "we," "our," or "us"), available at https://stabilitytest.io/, and the information, tools, services, content, and functionality it provides (the "Service"). It is provided for transparency and to help you understand what the Service does and does not offer.

This Disclaimer is an informational notice. It supplements, and should be read together with, the Terms of Use, which set out the binding terms that govern your use of the Service. Where this Disclaimer and the Terms of Use address the same subject, the Terms of Use govern.

General Information Only

The Service is provided for general informational and educational purposes. Its primary connection-testing tool evaluates characteristics of a network connection such as latency, jitter, failed or unreturned probes, connection drops, and connection consistency, and summarizes them as a Stability Score and Stability Grade alongside related performance indicators.

Results are based on measurements and calculations performed during a test and are informational in nature. The Service does not provide professional engineering, telecommunications, legal, financial, business, cybersecurity, or technical-consulting advice. You should exercise independent judgment and seek qualified professional guidance where appropriate.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

While StabilityTest aims to provide useful and reliable results, it makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, consistency, repeatability, or timeliness of any information or result generated through the Service.

Internet and network performance is influenced by many variables outside our control, including internet service provider infrastructure, network congestion, routing conditions, geographic distance, wireless interference, device performance, browser and operating-system behavior, measurement-endpoint conditions, third-party network infrastructure, temporary outages, and hardware configurations. As a result, measurements may vary between tests, devices, networks, locations, and time periods. You should not rely solely on StabilityTest results when making important technical, operational, financial, contractual, legal, or business decisions.

Testing Limitations

Internet testing tools are inherently limited by the environment in which they operate. Measurements generated by the Service may be affected by background network activity, browser restrictions, device resources, local network conditions, firewall configurations, VPN usage, security software, wireless signal quality, ISP routing decisions, internet routing beyond your ISP, measurement-infrastructure conditions, and temporary network events.

No browser-based testing platform can guarantee that its measurements fully represent every aspect of real-world network performance. A StabilityTest result reflects conditions observed during a particular test and is not a guarantee of past or future network performance.

Measurement Infrastructure

StabilityTest may use infrastructure operated by third-party providers to perform portions of its network testing. It currently uses a Cloudflare Worker as part of its latency measurement infrastructure, so measurement requests travel through Cloudflare infrastructure and may be affected by routing, geographic location, network conditions, and other factors outside StabilityTest's direct control.

StabilityTest may modify, replace, relocate, expand, or discontinue measurement endpoints and supporting infrastructure as the Service evolves. The use of a third-party infrastructure provider does not mean that the provider independently verifies, certifies, endorses, or guarantees StabilityTest or its results. How information is handled in connection with this infrastructure is described in the Privacy Policy.

Automated Analysis and Scoring

StabilityTest automatically generates measurements, scores, grades, classifications, and diagnostic information using its own testing methodologies and scoring systems. These may include Stability Scores, Stability Grades, latency measurements, jitter calculations, failed-request detection, connection-drop detection, and session diagnostics.

These outputs are intended to help you understand characteristics of your network connection and should not be interpreted as definitive evaluations, certifications, warranties, or guarantees of internet service quality. A high Stability Score or favorable Stability Grade does not guarantee that a connection will remain stable or perform adequately for every application, and a lower result does not by itself establish the cause of a network problem.

Network Recommendations and Use-Case Assessments

From time to time, the Service may provide observations, ratings, grades, classifications, or performance assessments, such as those oriented toward gaming, video calls, streaming, remote work, or cloud gaming, along with connection diagnoses and session highlights.

These assessments are generated through automated analysis of measured conditions and are intended solely as informational guidance. Actual application performance may depend on factors StabilityTest does not measure or control, including the specific application or service in use, remote servers, routing, bandwidth requirements, device performance, and changing network conditions. They should not be interpreted as guarantees of future performance or of suitability for any particular purpose.

Network Updates and Service-Status Information

The Service may collect information from public or third-party status sources and may aggregate, summarize, classify, display, publish, and update information about network and third-party service conditions, including incidents and operational changes.

Third-party service-status information may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, inaccurate, or changed after publication, and it may depend on third-party reporting that is itself affected by source failures or network conditions. StabilityTest does not guarantee that every outage or incident will be detected or reported, that any status update is complete or current, that information from third-party sources is accurate, that the absence of a reported incident means a service is operating normally, or that reported conditions apply to every user, network, or geographic region.

Where authoritative or time-critical status information is required, you should consult the applicable provider's official channels. Monitoring, reporting on, referring to, or displaying information about a third-party company, platform, product, or service does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or authorization unless StabilityTest expressly states otherwise.

Connection Information

The Service may display information about your internet connection, such as your public IP address, Internet Service Provider (ISP), and approximate network location. This information may be obtained using a third-party IP information service (currently IPinfo).

IP-derived ISP and location information is approximate and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. It should not be interpreted as a precise determination of your physical location, network ownership, or identity, and StabilityTest makes no guarantee regarding the accuracy of connection information supplied by third-party providers.

Anonymous and Aggregate Statistics

StabilityTest may collect and display anonymous or aggregated operational statistics derived from use of the testing platform, such as tests started, tests completed, test durations, Stability Scores, Stability Grades, failed-request events, connection-drop events, and aggregate stability classifications.

Aggregate statistics, trends, percentages, averages, and similar information are provided for informational purposes and may be affected by sample size, user population, testing conditions, changes to the platform, and other factors. They should not be interpreted as scientifically representative measurements of all internet users, networks, geographic regions, or Internet Service Providers unless expressly stated otherwise.

Third-Party Services and Content

The Service may use, contain, reference, link to, or integrate with third-party services and websites, including providers involved in hosting, cloud and edge computing, IP information and geolocation, analytics, advertising, affiliate and referral programs, security, and content delivery, as well as third-party status sources.

StabilityTest does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, products, services, availability, policies, privacy or security practices, representations, or operational changes. You access and interact with third-party services at your own discretion and subject to the applicable provider's terms and policies.

Advertising and Promotional Content

StabilityTest may display advertisements, sponsored placements, promotional content, or other commercial messages. The appearance of an advertisement or promotion does not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or endorsement of the advertised product or service.

StabilityTest does not guarantee the accuracy, security, availability, reliability, suitability, or performance of third-party products or services promoted through the Service, and any transaction or relationship between you and an advertiser or third-party provider is solely between those parties. How advertising technologies and cookies are handled is described in the Cookie Policy.

Affiliate Links and Disclosure

StabilityTest may include affiliate or referral links to third-party products or services, such as Proton VPN. When you follow such a link and complete a qualifying purchase, subscription, or other action, StabilityTest may receive a commission or other compensation. This generally does not increase the price you pay unless otherwise disclosed.

Affiliate relationships do not constitute a guarantee of any third-party product's or service's performance, availability, security, suitability, or results. Any recommendation, rating, promotion, or reference to a third-party product or service is provided for informational or promotional purposes and should not be interpreted as a warranty, certification, or guarantee. Third-party products and services accessed through affiliate or referral links remain governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and other policies, which you should review before making a purchase or relying on any third-party product or service.

Future Features and Data Insights

StabilityTest may, in the future, provide aggregated network insights, regional reports, ISP comparisons, performance rankings, reliability statistics, public dashboards, or similar informational content. Any such information will be provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered definitive, authoritative, scientifically representative, or guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Network conditions change continuously, and historical or aggregated data may not accurately reflect the experience of a particular user or predict future network performance.

Availability Disclaimer

StabilityTest does not guarantee that the Service, its measurement infrastructure, APIs, connection-information services, or other functionality will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, timely, or free from errors. We may modify, update, reconfigure, suspend, restrict, replace, discontinue, or rate-limit any portion of the Service at any time, and service availability may also depend on third-party infrastructure and providers outside our direct control.

No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STABILITYTEST DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, AND PERFORMANCE.

StabilityTest does not warrant that results will be accurate, repeatable, error-free, or meet your expectations; that the Service will operate without interruption or always be available; that measurement infrastructure will remain unchanged; that defects will be corrected; or that the Service will be free of harmful components. Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

The binding warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability that apply to the Service are set out in the Terms of Use. This Disclaimer is an informational notice and does not itself create, expand, or replace those provisions.

You are responsible for evaluating StabilityTest's measurements, scores, grades, diagnostic interpretations, status information, and other outputs in context, and for independently verifying important information before relying on it for significant technical, operational, financial, contractual, legal, or business decisions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, StabilityTest does not accept responsibility for losses resulting from reliance on its informational or diagnostic outputs beyond the liability provided for under the Terms of Use.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for evaluating the usefulness and relevance of testing results, verifying important information independently, maintaining your own devices, software, networks, and security, considering other relevant information when diagnosing network problems, and making decisions based on your individual circumstances. StabilityTest should be viewed as one informational and diagnostic resource among other available tools and sources.

Privacy and Cookies

How StabilityTest collects and processes information — including network-measurement infrastructure, connection-information services, anonymous statistics, third-party providers, advertising, and affiliate services — is described in the Privacy Policy. The use of cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies is described in the Cookie Policy. Please review both for further information.

Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, its infrastructure, functionality, business practices, or applicable requirements. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
